Host Hostess at Banner Elk Cafe
- Banner Elk Cafe in Banner Elk, NC is looking for one host/hostess to join our 79 person strong team. We are located on 324 Shawneehaw Ave S. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable and available to work day shifts. Open Availability is a plus.
- Availability: Must be able to work during peak business : Weekends and Holidays excluding (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
Responsibilities
- Answering the phones and place take out orders, put take out orders together making change and cash them out (usually tipped on take-out)
- Greeting customers and making them feel welcome letting them know where to go while waiting on table
- use Ipad for wait list and Estimating wait time for guests
- Seating guests in an organized manner keeping up with rotation to ensure best customer service
- Keeping front area clean and sanitize menus
- occasionally checking on customers & refilling drinks.
Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Strong organizational and motivational skills
