We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Host to join our team at Surf Point 360 at Anchorage by the Sea. This is a Part Time Seasonal (May - October) position located in Ogunquit, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Host to join our team at Surf Point 360 at Anchorage by the Sea. This is a Part Time Seasonal (May - October) position located in Ogunquit, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

Work Performed

The position involves hosting, taking phone orders, taking customer orders in house, keeping orders organized and working efficiently in a busy environment. Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Ensure all areas of the front of house areas are clean and properly sanitized
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours
• You must have excellent organizational skills and show initiative with ability to work well in a team environment
• Possess good communication and organizational skills
• High school education or equivalent experience
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited/Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: Part Time 20-30 Hours week AM;Mid;PM;Must be flexible;Weekends;Holidays

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

• Previous serving experience a plus
• Successful demonstration of culinary and food safety knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus

$17 Hourly
