JOB SUMMARY

The primary role of a host person is to welcome each guest into the restaurant, provide prompt seating, inform the guest of any restaurant information, and successful maintain constant supervision and organization of the iPad seating system. The hostess must be knowledgeable, courteous, upbeat and willing to help the guest in any means necessary. The hostess must be able to maintain a professional demeanor while assisting the guests into the restaurant and provide a gracious farewell upon exiting. The host person is responsible for maintaining a genuine, cheerful demeanor while representing the Martha Stewart brand positively at all times.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Greet restaurant guests in a friendly, upbeat, and positive manner using the guest’s name when possible.
  • Personalize every interaction with guest including the good-byes by inviting guests back and cross-selling other outlets.
    Passionately inform guests about Martha Stewart, her history, and current business endeavors
  • Arrange for prompt and efficient seating of guests in order of arrival or availability of seating accommodations while recognizing VIP guests as a priority.
  • Collaborate with the bus person staff to provide immediate seating for waiting guests and food service staff through proper seating rotation or assigned stations.
  • Monitor and maintain room cleanliness, maintenance, and atmosphere in assigned area.
  • Familiarize oneself with all items on the menu and explains food items when necessary.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintaining efficient rotations of stations amongst food servers.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintaining an efficient reservation book for the day.
  • Maintain the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and floor plans at the beginning of each shift.
  • Provide information for guests who may have questions concerning Paris Las Vegas.
  • Maintain nonstop organization and accuracy of the iPad seating system for the entire shift
  • Answer incoming reservation calls

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Requires 1-year prior host experience
  • Knowledge of basic food and beverage products.
  • Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and Table Management system.
  • Must possess a valid SNHD health card.
  • Common knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices preferred.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
  • Work requires professional interactions with customers, co-workers and management.
  • Work requires professional teamwork with other co-workers.
  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Literate and fluent in English


Additional Requirements

  • Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around in a high-volume restaurant
  • Manual dexterity skills to include handling menus, buttons and pens/pencils
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
