Grandfather Golf & Country Club is seeking a friendly and professional Hostesses to join our team. We have part time positions available. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our members and guests and will play a key role in ensuring that they have a memorable dining experience. Our hostesses are responsible for creating the first and last impression of the club experience for Members and

guests! This position requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work and there is much consistency from one day to the next in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting guests as they arrive and seating them at tables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answering phone calls, making reservations, and taking Togo food orders
  • Communicating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure that all member/guest requests are met.
  • Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and fulfilling special requests
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and lobby area.
  • Assist supervisors with floor plans.
  • Assist server, when needed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clearing tables and resetting them for the next members/guests
  • Assist with set up and break down of events
  • Providing excellent customer service to our guests by answering questions and fulfilling special requests
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be available to work holidays through July.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the food service industry preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry out repetitive motions as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Abilitity to work efficiently in a busy dining environment
