Job Summary
The Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests at Ladurée. Greets guests, manages reservations and seating arrangements, and ensures excellent customer service while maintaining the brand's luxury standards and elegant atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Manage restaurant reservations and maintain an organized waiting list.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to optimize table turnover and seating arrangements.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and handle reservation requests.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests.
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Assist guests with directions, information about the menu, and restaurant services.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support special events, promotions, and VIP guest arrangements.
- Maintain high standards of grooming, appearance, and professionalism in line with Ladurée brand standards.
- Work closely with restaurant management and service staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related qualifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
