Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options
• Handle cashier duties accurately, processing orders and payments with attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold a welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate seating and service flow
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when taking reservations or answering guest questions via phone or online platforms

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with guests and team members
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Knowledge of serving protocols, guest relations, and hospitality standards is desirable
• Professional phone etiquette skills for reservation calls and guest inquiries
