Hostess/Busser

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Busser to join our dynamic team here at Soul Mediterranean Cuisine! The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring smooth operations within the dining area. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly to ensure a clean dining environment.
• Provide support in delivering food and beverages to guests when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
• Communicate effectively with server staff and management regarding guest needs and special requests.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing when required.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
• Ability to provide exceptional guest services and maintain positive guest relations.
• A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of fine-dining cuisine or hospitality standards can be beneficial but is not required.
