Hostess/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a welcoming experience from the moment they enter. You will manage reservations, greet customers, and handle transactions with precision and care. Your role is crucial in maintaining excellent guest relations and providing top-notch customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
• Take and process customer orders accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
• Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive service throughout the guest's visit.

Skills

• Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive guest relations.
• Proficiency in using POS systems, preferably Aloha POS or similar platforms.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Good phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A friendly demeanor and a passion for hospitality are essential for success in this role.
