Big-Dill Hospitality is a family-owned restaurant group that owns and operates Muchacho Tex-Mex, Whistle Britches, Even Coast, Casa Brasa, Kamila, and many more unique and fantastic dining concepts coming soon in the DFW area. Helmed by Chef Omar Flores, a two-time James Beard Semi-Finalist, Best Chef SW and Dallas Rising Star Chef, this is Chef Flores’ newest passion project several years in the making. This scratch kitchen concept prides itself on its innovative menu and modern approach to the bar scene, happy hour, and brunch.

Position Overview:

The Host is the first and last point of contact for our guests. This role sets the tone for the dining experience by ensuring a warm welcome, efficient seating, and smooth front door operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Manage reservations and waitlist through our guest management system (e.g., OpenTable, Resy)
  • Seat guests according to server sections and flow of the restaurant
  • Provide accurate wait times and answer questions about the menu or restaurant
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
  • Communicate effectively with the service team to coordinate seating
  • Assist with to-go orders or guest needs as needed
  • Uphold our hospitality standards and handle guest interactions with care

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of host experience in upscale restaurant
  • Answers phone calls and assist with reservations
  • Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries or concerns
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Presents a positive and professional attitude toward guests and staff
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a standing position for 8-10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 60lbs (50lbs overhead)
  • Stand for a long period of time.
  • Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull and grasp throughout the day.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over telephone.
