Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dynamic individual to join our team as a host. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll be responsible for greeting, seating, and managing guest flow, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk in.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting & Seating: Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor. Seat guests efficiently while considering server availability, guest preferences, and dining area capacity.
  • Managing Waitlists: Accurately manage waitlists and reservations. Keep guests informed of wait times and ensure the seating process is as smooth and timely as possible.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the kitchen, servers, bartenders, and management to ensure a seamless guest experience. Handle special requests and direct guests to their tables promptly.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, directing guests to restrooms or specific areas, and addressing guest concerns when necessary.
  • Guest Flow Management: Monitor the restaurant’s capacity and adjust seating arrangements as necessary to avoid congestion or delays.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that the entrance, lobby, and host stand are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Assist in light duties, including bussing tables, running food, or restocking supplies as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a busy, sometimes noisy, environment.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: Approximately 20 per week
