Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our team at Sunnehanna Country Club. As the first point of contact for our members and guests, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience at our country club. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will help create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong desire to provide excellent service.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting Guests:

Welcome and greet members and guests as they arrive at the club, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they step in.

  • Reservation Management:

Manage reservations, both in-person and over the phone, ensuring accurate booking and efficient seating arrangements.

  • Seating Arrangements:

Escort guests to their tables, ensuring that seating is organized and meets the preferences of members and guests.

  • Waitlist Management:

Effectively manage waitlists during peak times, providing estimated wait times and updating guests as needed.

  • Answering Inquiries:

Handle phone calls and guest inquiries about available services, events, and reservations in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Coordinating with Staff:

Collaborate with the restaurant and event staff to ensure that all guest needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintaining Host Area:

Keep the host station organized, clean, and presentable to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

  • Handling Special Requests:

Record and communicate special guest requests or preferences to the appropriate departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

  • Ensuring Positive Guest Experience:

Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to create a positive and memorable experience.

  • Assist in Event Coordination:

Assist in coordinating events or special functions, ensuring guests’ needs are met and that operations run smoothly.

  • Upholding Club Standards:

Ensure that all interactions and services align with the club's standards of excellence, providing guests with a high level of hospitality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour
