Duties

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness, making them feel immediately welcomed
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Maintain wait lists and inform guests of estimated wait times with clear communication and positive attitude
• Assist guests with seating, answer questions about the menu or restaurant amenities, and provide exceptional guest services
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information and taking reservations with proper phone etiquette
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members
• Background in food service or restaurant operations is a plus, including serving or hotel guest services experience
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices to foster a welcoming environment
