Host/Hostess

Circa 1886 is looking for a host/hostess to work evening dinner hours from approximately 4p.m.-10p.m. The ideal candidate must have flexible availability for 3-4 shifts per week including weekends and occasional holidays; be professional, friendly, and well spoken; and be committed to maintaining our standard of excellence. Circa 1886 is closed Sunday evenings, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet guests when they enter the restaurant.
• Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations and respond to customer inquiries about the restaurant and menu
• Engage with guests to ensure they are happy with food and service.
• Help with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Fine dining restaurant experience a plus but not required.
• Must have flexible availability to work 3-4 evenings per week, including weekends, from approximately 4pm - 10pm.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
