Host/Hostess

Westwood Brewing Co is looking for motivated people to join our team. We are located on Main Street in Rathdrum, Idaho.

The Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. Must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.
• Greet guests upon arrival, inform guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter guest names into the computer system, show guests to their table and bid guests farewell as they leave.
• Refilling beverages and performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus and ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly.
• Answer the phones and fill to-go orders when needed.
• Assist in table readiness prior to guests arrival and after their departure.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Must have flexible work schedule and able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have reliable transportation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. at shoulder height and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
