Host/Hostess

Position Summary
As a Hostess at Takumi, you will set the tone for the guest experience from the moment they walk through the door. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, and able to manage guest flow in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

We will be opening May 5th. Our timeline was pushed back from our original opening so we apologize to any applicants that reached out earlier on, please feel free to reapply.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage waitlists and reservations using the restaurant’s system
• Communicate accurate wait times and seating availability
• Seat guests efficiently while supporting smooth service flow
• Answer phones and assist with takeout or reservation inquiries
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entry area
• Assist servers and management with guest needs as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional during busy shifts
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods
