Host/Hostess

Troon Country Club is looking for a host/hostess to join our team! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to our members and guests. Seasonal, part-time positions are available. Job Summary:

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at Troon Country Club’s dining facilities. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
  • Ensure all tables are set up correctly before members’ arrival.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using the club’s reservation system.
  • Escort members to their tables and present menus.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to dining-related inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate staff.
  • Take To-Go orders
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Monitor dining room activity and help maintain cleanliness and order.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, events, and club policies.
  • Assist with special events, or other front-of-house duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
