Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude, ensuring they feel welcomed and appreciated
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS system
• Maintain a clean and organized host station, including waiting areas and reservation logs
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate guest seating and service flow
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details
• Take pickup and delivery orders with professionalism
• Assist in guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Support the restaurant team during busy periods by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hospitality environments like hotels or restaurants enhances your ability to excel in this role
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
