Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced, professional Host/Hostess who are passionate about hospitality and delivering a memorable guest experience. Servers at Shadows are responsible for managing all aspects of guest interaction—from greeting and seating to explaining menu items, taking orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and escort guests to tables when needed
• Present menus and explain daily specials and featured dishes
• Describe ingredients, cooking methods, and preparation times confidently
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using proper table/seat numbers
• Ensure timely and proper delivery of orders to guests
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
• Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and company policies
• Prepare itemized checks and accept payments
• Clear and reset tables in coordination with bussers and hosts
• Stock service areas with clean tableware, condiments, and supplies
• Assist with opening/closing duties and daily sidework as assigned
• Answer phones, take reservations, and assist with host responsibilities
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Wear proper PPE when required and maintain a clean, professional appearance
• Work cooperatively with all FOH and BOH team members

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and food pairings a plus
• Must be dependable, team-oriented, and well-groomed
• High school diploma preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk for up to 4+ hours at a time
• Move quickly and efficiently in a tight, high-energy environment
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (including trays of food and beverages)
• Bend, squat, reach, and respond to visual/verbal cues in a busy dining room

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
