Job Overview
We are seeking friendly, energetic, and professional Hosts/Hostesses to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming experience, managing guest flow, maintaining waitlists, answering phones, and supporting front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk in
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS system
- Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, providing updates as needed
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person, providing accurate information about menu options, specials, and restaurant policies
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and resolving issues promptly to enhance overall satisfaction
- Keep the host/hostess station organized, clean, and well-stocked to support daily operations
Skills
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
