Host/Hostess: Part-Time Seasonal (Breezes Restaurant & Bar)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Host will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, as well as, assisting servers as needed. The Host will liaise with management regarding inordinate guest flow, special requests/occasions, and customer feedback. The Host will also be responsible for overall greet and goodbye ceremonies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Warmly welcome guests, seat guests and bid a fond farewell and invite for a return visit.
• Uses organization skills to run a waitlist, gauge the kitchen, servers and overall dining room performance; determines where guests will be seated.
• Ensures that large group's requirements are met, including services needed for small children, as well as for individuals with disabilities or food allergies.
• Inspects and maintains the arrival area, doors, windows as well as menu covers and inserts.
• Multi-tasking in a high volume and high demand work environment and Understands the dining room and menu offerings

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have superior guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries about the Resort.
• Must have proper phone etiquette to take to-go orders.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to clearly speak, write and understand the English language.
• Must be able to multi-task in a high volume and high demand work environment.
• Must be able to learn and understand dining room and menu offerings.
