Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities management and maintenance operations. In this vital role, you will oversee all engineering functions, ensuring the hotel’s infrastructure operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your leadership will drive the maintenance team to deliver exceptional service, uphold safety standards, and maintain the highest levels of operational excellence. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the engineering team to execute routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical networks, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedules, and asset histories.
  • Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems to ensure optimal performance of building automation systems.
  • Maintain high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in compliance with safety standards and local regulations; perform electrical repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Supervise industrial maintenance tasks related to manufacturing or large-scale equipment within the hotel infrastructure.
  • Coordinate projects involving facilities upgrades or renovations with external contractors and internal teams, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently; conduct regular safety audits related to electrical work, HVAC systems, and industrial maintenance activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
  • Develop and manage budgets for engineering operations while optimizing resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide leadership in emergency situations involving electrical failures or mechanical issues; liaise with emergency responders as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in facilities management and promoting team development through training.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience leading engineering or facilities teams within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems, electrical wiring (high voltage and low voltage), schematics interpretation, and industrial maintenance procedures.
  • Expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, CMMS software management, and troubleshooting complex control systems.
  • Solid understanding of facilities management principles including safety regulations related to electrical work (high voltage/low voltage), HVAC operations, and general building maintenance.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on leadership development, team motivation, and effective communication in English.
  • Experience working with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting; familiarity with manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to high voltage electrical systems and industrial equipment operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
