Hotel Chief Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of facilities management, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally to provide guests with a comfortable and safe environment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance management, project management, and the ability to supervise a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other essential hotel facilities.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
• Manage projects related to facility upgrades or renovations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Supervise staff in performing routine maintenance tasks, including industrial maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including schematics for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Train staff on safety protocols and proper use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical measurements.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities management within the hospitality industry or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
• Proficiency in managing programmable logic controllers (PLC) and understanding high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on leadership and team development.
• Familiarity with project management principles related to facility upgrades or repairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
