Hotel Chief Maintenance Engineer

The nature of the hotel Chief Maintenance Engineer is to maintain and repair property and equipment within the hotel, restaurant and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds.
• Leads a team of maintenance personnel to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns.
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects.
• Responds to all building related Life Safety concerns.
• Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.
• Supports hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
• Handles guest related concerns.
• Maintain the guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
• Must possess knowledge of hand/power tool operation.
• Clean and maintain pool and spa area. Certified Pool Operator license required or the ability to obtain post-hire.
• Must have general computer knowledge (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, hardware, etc.)
• Strongly preferred: HVAC Certification/Licensing; knowledge of commercial plumbing; knowledge of commercial electrical
