Schedule: Sunday and Monday mornings only

Position Summary

The Coffee Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverage products while delivering exceptional service to hotel guests. This role works closely with team members and management to ensure a welcoming and efficient coffee shop experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages with consistency and care.
• Follow brand and property standards when preparing menu items and beverages.
• Create latte art when requested to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace including the coffee bar, equipment, coolers, and storage areas.
• Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide helpful menu recommendations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Assist management with product inventory when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

QualificationsEducation

No formal education required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in a coffee shop or café environment is required.
• Experience with specialized coffee preparation and presentation is preferred.

Schedule Requirements

• Sunday and Monday mornings only
• Additional hours may occasionally vary based on operational needs.
• Must follow company time and attendance policies.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and includes:

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of supplies, coffee products, and food deliveries
• Removing heavy garbage bags and waste
• Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling during shifts
• Continuous standing throughout the entire shift
• Full mobility to move efficiently within the workspace
• Occasional stair use

Communication & Sensory Requirements

• Ability to clearly communicate with guests and team members
• Ability to understand and follow directions from supervisors
• Ability to visually inspect and maintain coffee shop and brand standards

Equipment & Safety

This role requires safely operating common coffee shop and kitchen equipment, including:

• Coffee brewers and espresso machines
• Cold brew systems, French presses, and pour-over brewers
• Milk frothers and steam wands
• Coffee grinders and product scales
• Microwaves, convection ovens, and other standard kitchen appliances
• Basic kitchen tools such as knives, thermometers, and measuring equipment

Protective Clothing May Include

• Hair nets or required head coverings
• Gloves
• Aprons
• Slip-resistant footwear
