Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of our hotel’s facilities. This dynamic role involves overseeing a wide range of technical systems, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the overall guest experience through reliable building operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and have excellent problem-solving skills to maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all guests and staff.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems, plumbing, hydraulics, and other mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair various building systems using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high voltage equipment, low voltage systems, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to diagnose issues accurately.
- Manage industrial equipment such as scissor lifts, welding tools (including <LOCATION> welding), and other machinery necessary for facility upkeep.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and document repairs efficiently.
- Support field service operations by coordinating repairs with vendors or contractors when specialized expertise is required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical work, high voltage systems, and industrial mechanics while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assist in technical sales or client interactions by providing expert advice on equipment or system upgrades when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding (<LOCATION> welding preferred), schematics reading, and industrial electrician experience.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, analysis tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience operating scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage wiring standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly.
- Industrial mechanic experience combined with a background in manufacturing or field service is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and vendors effectively.
