Job Description

Think Outsourcing LLC is currently seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to fill an available full-time position. The purpose of this position is to manage building systems and perform overall building maintenance and repairs. Candidates must be able to work in a hands-on team environment and provide exceptional guest service.

• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
• Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the building, hotel rooms, and lighting, heating/air conditioning (HVAC) ventilation, water treatment systems.
• Have basic knowledge of HVAC/ plumbing/ electrical and be able to perform troubleshooting.
• Perform painting and plasterwork on the interior and exterior of the building and hotel rooms.
• Responsible for fire brigade /Fire safety duties.
• Conduct inspections, projects, and maintenance repairs maintain records.
• Ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc.
• Preventive maintenance for building systems, rooms, and public spaces.
• Repair as needed; HVAC systems, handy work, plumbing, plastering, etc.
• Attend mandatory meetings and/or training as scheduled.
• Performs any other duties and projects as requested by supervisor.
• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds and up to 30 ft in height.
• Strong drywall skills

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as a Handyman or maintenance position in a New York hotel preferred.
• Must have a broad base of experience in several areas such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, preventive maintenance, painting/plastering.
• Must have experience of 2+ years in painting and plasterwork.
• Full availability is needed.
