- Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on guest rooms, HVAC systems, pool equipment, laundry equipment, and other hotel assets.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify repair needs and safety concerns.
General Maintenance
- Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, drains, and related equipment.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including lighting, switches, outlets, and ballasts.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems as needed.
- Complete carpentry repairs such as doors, locks, furniture, drywall, and painting.
- Maintain hotel grounds, parking lots, walkways, and exterior lighting.
Life Safety and Compliance
- Assist with fire life safety inspections and testing.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and brand standards.
- Maintain emergency equipment and report safety hazards immediately.
- Support hotel quality assurance inspections and property improvement initiatives.
Pool and Equipment Maintenance
- Monitor pool and spa operations, chemical levels, and safety equipment.
- Maintain mechanical rooms, boilers, water heaters, and associated equipment.
- Coordinate repairs with outside vendors when necessary.
Teamwork
- Work closely with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Management teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with special projects, room renovations, and deep-cleaning initiatives.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities and emergency response situations as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one year of maintenance, engineering, or facilities experience preferred.
- Hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours when required.
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time positions available.
- Weekends and holidays may be required.
- On-call availability may be required based on hotel needs.
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to brand standards.
- Interact courteously with guests and team members while resolving maintenance concerns.
