Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Hotel General Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards across the property. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, along with leadership experience to supervise maintenance activities effectively. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and building structures to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Ohmmeters to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Perform residential painting, welding, and other carpentry tasks to maintain the property's aesthetic appeal.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests, providing excellent customer service while resolving issues swiftly.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential settings.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including reading schematics and using tools like Ohmmeters.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
- Skilled in welding, painting, and general handyman tasks such as carpentry or plumbing repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Leadership qualities with supervising experience to coordinate maintenance teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork.
