Job Description

Focused service hotel in Hoover, Alabama, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our hotel team to new heights. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring that our guests enjoy an exceptional stay while maintaining high standards of service, quality, and profitability. Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse hotel staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments run smoothly and efficiently, including front desk, housekeeping, Breakfast and maintenance.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service quality and promptly addressing any guest concerns or complaints.
  • Financial Performance: Develop and manage budgets, forecast revenue, control expenses, and ensure the property meets its financial objectives.
  • Sales & Marketing: Work with the sales and marketing team to develop and execute strategies that drive room occupancy, revenue, and guest loyalty.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, local regulations, and safety policies, prioritizing the well-being of both guests and employees.
  • Community Engagement: Build positive relationships within the community, participating in local events and promoting the hotel’s presence.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a hotel management role, preferably with Hilton or other major hotel brands.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and improve operational performance.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for hospitality and a dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in hotel management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant platforms.
  • Food Handling: ServSafe certification preferred
  • CPR & First Aid: certification preferred.
