About the Role
Are you a high-energy leader with a passion for modern hospitality? Avid Odessa is looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our team in providing a "ton of value" and a "spirited stay" for our guests.
As the General Manager, you aren’t just a desk-bound administrator; you are the heartbeat of the hotel. You will oversee all aspects of operations—from front office and housekeeping to sales and maintenance—ensuring that our hospitality shines through in every guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Vibe: Maintain the vibrant, functional, and eccentric brand culture that defines Avid by IHG.
- Lead the Team: Recruit, train, and inspire a diverse team of hospitality professionals. You’ll foster a "Heart of House" culture where every team member feels valued.
- Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations, ensuring strict compliance with IHG Brand Standards and local safety regulations.
- Financial Stewardship: Take full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and labor control to maximize profitability.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and implement creative solutions to ensure we are the top choice in Odessa.
- Community Engagement: Act as the face of the hotel in the Odessa community to drive local sales and partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hotel management experience (General Manager or Assistant General Manager). IHG, Hilton, or Marriott experience is strongly preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Opera is a major plus.
- Leadership Style: A "lead from the front" mentality. You aren't afraid to jump into the laundry room or help at the front desk during a rush.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, select-service environment in a busy coastal destination.
