Waypoint Ventura is a boutique hotel located in Downtown Ventura. Morning and day shifts are available. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: General Manager

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards and SOP.
• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Replace linens, restock amenities, and ensure guest rooms are prepared for arrivals.
• Remove trash, used linens, and other items from guest rooms and dispose of them properly or deliver dirty linen to the Laundry Department.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Manager/Front Desk team.
• Ensure the security of guest belongings and adhere to hotel policy regarding lost and found items.
• Follow facility safety and security guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and storage areas in an organized and clean manner.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in deep cleaning procedures and special housekeeping projects as needed.
• Work efficiently to meet daily room time quotas and cleanliness standards.
• Adhere to uniform standards set by the hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements for this Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
