Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our property operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This energetic position offers the opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a vibrant environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the hotel, troubleshooting issues promptly, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike. Your expertise will help create a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained environment that guests will remember positively.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across all hotel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage building automation systems for optimal performance.
  • Conduct residential painting, welding, and other repair tasks to uphold the hotel’s aesthetic standards.
  • Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with vendors or contractors when specialized work is needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes while performing all duties.
  • Respond swiftly to guest requests or emergencies related to facilities issues to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Lead small teams or supervise junior staff members to promote efficient facilities management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, painting, electrical work, and plumbing repairs.
  • Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and building automation systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members and vendors.
  • Supervising experience or leadership skills that support team development and project management.
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
