Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of the hotel property. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and timely response to maintenance requests while consistently delivering Hilton’s standard of exceptional guest service.
Essential Job Functions
- Complete all assigned daily, monthly, and bi-annual maintenance checklists accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of completed inspections, checklists, repairs, and work orders.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure all equipment, systems, and building components are operating properly.
- Conduct and document required inspections, safety checks, and drills in accordance with brand standards and applicable regulations.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Maintain maintenance logs and records to promote a safe environment for guests and employees and to protect the property asset.
- Assist with energy conservation efforts and report opportunities for efficiency improvements to management.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance work orders and guest service requests.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of hotel systems and furnishings.
- Work collaboratively with management, housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to address maintenance needs.
- Promote Hilton’s 100% Guest Satisfaction and Extraordinary Service standards throughout the property.
- Address guest maintenance concerns courteously and resolve issues in a manner consistent with company service expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, commercial, or similar environment preferred.
- Technical training or relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance preferred.
- Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately.
- Ability to work independently, follow direction, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required; actual scheduling may vary based on operational needs.
- Required certifications or licenses may apply based on property and local regulations.
