Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to provide guests with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
A houseman is responsible for cleaning public space, assisting room and laundry attendants, assist maintenance staff and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed for structural or equipment-related issues.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Oversee the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Read schematics and mechanical drawings accurately to diagnose problems efficiently and implement effective solutions.
- Lead small teams in projects involving manufacturing or large-scale repairs, demonstrating strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Clean and treat the swimming pool.

Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting; supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong electrical knowledge with hands-on experience working with electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Experience with residential painting, carpentry, or general building repairs is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for diagnostics and repairs.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising maintenance teams or projects.
