Hotel Maintenance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION : A Hotel Maintenance Manager directs the engineering and upkeep of a property. They oversee daily facility operations, manage maintenance teams, and ensure all building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are safe and fully operational. They balance guest satisfaction with budget control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and implement routine maintenance schedules to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend the life of hotel assets.

- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance technicians, prioritizing daily repair tasks and handling staff performance.

- Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for urgent property issues (e.g., power outages or plumbing leaks), coordinating quick resolutions that minimize guest disruption.

Budget & Inventory: Manage the department budget, track expenses, and ensure the inventory of replacement parts, tools, and supplies is consistently stocked.

- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the property complies with health, building, and fire safety codes. Regularly inspect life safety systems.

- Cross Department Collaboration: Work closely with Housekeeping and Front Desk to ensure rooms are perfectly maintained and prepared for guest arrivals.
