Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance across various systems and structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory levels.
• Execute painting, tile and grout, light carpentry, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs with precision and attention to detail. Hotel experience a plus
• Assist with projects involving facilities upgrades or renovations, including supervising team members when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and repair logs to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to perform residential painting and basic carpentry tasks to uphold the property’s aesthetic standards.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of basic plumbing (clear clogged drains and toilets), fix minor leaks, change fixtures when needed.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and guests when needed.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and inventory tracking.
