Hotel Night Auditor

Compensation:

$16 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Verify, audit, and reconcile all financial records such as room charges, cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, final bill preparation, room charges, and occupancy percentages
  • Ensure all guests feel they are having an exceptional experience at the property
  • Respond to inquiries, process reservations and check-ins, delegate housekeeping, security, and service requests, resolve guest complaints, and other front office duties as required
  • Complete additional bookkeeping, administrative, and accounting procedures as requested
  • Produce and distribute daily weekly, and monthly reports to hotel management, department heads, and general manager
  • Complete night audit procedures, including balancing and reconciling all financial transactions
  • Review and verify cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, room charges, and guest folios
  • Prepare and distribute daily audit reports, along with weekly and monthly summaries for management
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and hotel performance data
  • Perform front desk duties during overnight hours, including guest check-in and check-out as needed
  • Respond to guest inquiries and assist with requests or concerns in a professional manner
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for any overnight service needs
  • Ensure proper completion of end-of-day system procedures and reports
  • Maintain a secure and organized front desk area throughout the shift
  • Provide consistent, professional customer service to all guests during overnight hours


Qualifications:
  • Flexible overnight hours are required
  • Front desk clerk duties, guest services, night auditor or previous hospitality experience is preferred but not required
  • Must be computer proficient; experience with accounting or reservation software is a bonus
  • Diploma or equivalent from high school is required; some college is desired
  • Outstanding communication skills and excellent customer service skills are required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills required
  • Ability to work overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Previous experience in front desk, guest services, night audit, or hospitality is helpful but not required
  • Basic computer proficiency required; ability to learn hotel systems and software quickly
  • Experience with hotel reservation or accounting systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized during overnight hours
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with financial and reporting tasks
