<Responsibilities>
- Monitor daily revenue performance and analyze booking trends to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with market demand and business goals
- Prepare detailed revenue reports, forecasts, and analysis using advanced financial software tools such as Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable related to hotel revenue transactions ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards
- Manage the revenue cycle process including billing, journal entries, and revenue recognition in accordance with corporate policies
- Conduct account analysis and perform data entry tasks with precision using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques
- Support audit preparations by maintaining accurate records of revenue transactions, account reconciliations, and compliance documentation
<Requirements>
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality revenue management or related financial roles within the tourism or service industry
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and analysis skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, Quicken or similar systems; experience with medical billing or governmental accounting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT coding is advantageous but not required; emphasis on technical accounting skills is essential
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Ability to handle complex data entry tasks accurately while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data accurately for decision-making purposes
- Demonstrated competency in analysis skills, account analysis, and revenue cycle management processes
