Hotel Room Attendant

Summary: Responsible for ensuring the hotel rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Physical mobility and stamina required.
• Some computer knowledge.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Able to follow instruction.
• Ability to understand, read and write simple English, Good communication skills are an asset
• Detail oriented and good organization skills.
• Professional attitude is required.
• Able to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills, able to clean 14 rooms within 8-hour shift without help.

Licensing Requirements:

• Class II Tribal Gaming License

Essential Job Functions:

• Stock and Sort Supplies.
• Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms and public areas.
• Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry.
• Strip bedding and perform special project assigned by supervisors.
• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests, e.g. Fridge, microwave, rollaway….
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
• Report any out of order items in guest rooms and public areas to supervisor.
• Perform deep cleaning duties, e.g. extract carpet…
• Perform other tasks assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Constantly required to use hands to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently required to stand; walk climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Working conditions:

• Working in laundry involve near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to risk of electrical shock..
• Work mainly in doors.
• Works in a moderate noise level environment, increasing to loud when in laundry.
