A Room Attendant (also known as a Housekeeping Attendant) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas in a hotel, resort, or similar facility. They ensure that guests have a comfortable and welcoming stay by providing clean and well-prepared rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean guest rooms daily, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
- Replace linens, towels, and amenities as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Guest Service
- Respond promptly to guest requests for extra supplies, such as towels, pillows, or toiletries.
- Ensure rooms meet the hotel’s standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests.
- Inventory Management
- Track and restock housekeeping supplies, linen, and amenities.
- Assist in organizing storage areas and housekeeping carts efficiently.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures at all times.
