- Prospect and sell to both potential corporate and group clients.
- Meet all revenue/new account, sales call and networking goals set forth by Sterling Hospitality as well as those implemented by the General Managers.
- Develop an annual sales and marketing plan for the property.
- Set market segment goals (in conjunction with management) and obtain them.
- Determine a strategy for accomplishing the sales and marketing plan goals.
- Determine if hotel would benefit from various print, billboards, direct mail and other marketing opportunities.
- Develop and implement promotions and packages.
- Oversee with the General Manager all Internet marketing efforts.
- Investigate local and regional trade shows and coordinate attendance with General Manager.
- Plan and carry out sales blitzes to determined feeder markets.
- Join and participate in key local associations and networking groups.
- Prepare and submit all RFP’s from the CVB on behalf of the hotel.
- Work side by side with the chamber and CVB to maximize potential revenue from incoming events.
- Actively (monthly and weekly) use hotel reports such as the STAR report to gain knowledge about the competition.
