Hotel Sales Manager

Job Summary

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase occupancy rates and revenue across all hotel departments.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key partners to maximize business opportunities.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the front desk, guest services, and human resources teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective communication.
  • Oversee revenue management practices by analyzing market trends, adjusting pricing strategies, and optimizing room rates for maximum profitability.
  • Manage hotel budgets related to sales activities, ensuring cost-effective operations while achieving revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, standards of service excellence, phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems operation, and guest relations protocols.
  • Supervise night audit procedures when necessary to maintain accurate financial records and uphold guest satisfaction standards.
  • Promote a culture of hospitality excellence by fostering teamwork, leadership development, and high levels of guest satisfaction.

Experience

  • Proven experience in hotel management or sales within the hospitality industry, preferably in resort or large hotel settings.
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, and human resources within a hospitality context.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse clientele effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest services operations including front desk procedures, night audit processes, and guest relations management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with an emphasis on building lasting client relationships.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software systems and multi-line phone systems is essential.
