Hourly Plant Manager

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Hourly Plant Foreman for the Rutherford Quarry , located in Murfreesboro, TN. This role assists the Plant Manager in coordinating production activities. They will assist in the coordinating contractors and supervising craft workers within the pit and plant environment. They are responsible for monitoring work performance, progress and productivity of the operators and miners. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence, and be able to successfully impart a safety mindset and focus to the production team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate operation of equipment/plant to complete production schedules set by Superintendent in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Oversee training and corporate safety procedures for operation of plant/equipment to reduce lost time due to injury.
  • Coordinate and participate in the repair of plant equipment and crushers to eliminate down time.
  • Assist Manager in application of corporate policies and procedures regarding employment, operations, work environments, etc.
  • Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus.
  • May be called upon at discretion of the Superintendent or Manager to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist other departments if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required. Some management training or experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in aggregate production operation – both fixed plant and mobile heavy equipment.
  • At least 3 years experience in the aggregate materials industry or similar.
