House and Pet Sitter

In-Home Pet Sitter (1099 Contractor)

Note: This job requires you to stay OVERNIGHT inside client homes and not be gone longer than 7 HOURS PER DAY. Additionally, children and spouses may not accompany you to stays, as they would not be covered under our insurance.

We are happy to take college students, part timers, and anyone who needs a flexible schedule.

Service Area: Commerce, Milford, Highland, Hartland, Keego Harbor, Wolverine Lake, Walled Lake, Novi, New Hudson, South Lyon, Farmington Hills, Northville, Howell, Brighton.

We’re looking for dependable, animal-loving individuals to join our team as in-home pet sitters. This is a 1099 independent contractor role where you keep 90% of all earnings.

We proudly serve all of Oakland County and a small portion of Livingston County, with priority given to applicants who live in or near Milford, Highland, Hartland, South Lyon, Farmington Hills, or Howell.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide compassionate, in-home pet care for dogs, cats, and other pets while owners are away
• Follow client instructions for feeding, walking, playtime, and medication (if applicable)
• Offer regular updates, photos, and peace of mind to pet parents
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment in clients’ homes

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to pass a background check (Contractors pay for their own background check)
• Pay a one-time fee, that can be deducted from the first job if needed, to be added to our business insurance, plus yearly maintenance thereafter.
• Comfortable being recorded on in-home security cameras
• Able to work holidays and weekends
• Passionate about animals and committed to a force-free, positive care approach
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions closely
• Comfortable tracking your own income and expenses as an independent contractor — don’t worry, we provide training!
