Household Manager/Personal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Household Manager/Personal Assistant to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private residence and associated rental properties. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage systems, staff, vendors, and projects to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is not a basic assistant role—the ideal candidate takes ownership, anticipates needs, and brings structure and follow-through to all aspects of the home.

Key Responsibilities

Household & Property Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of the primary residence and rental properties
  • Maintain high standards of organization, functionality, and readiness
  • Develop and improve household systems for long-term efficiency

Staff Coordination

  • Coordinate with household staff (e.g., nanny, cleaners) to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Assist with scheduling, task delegation, and occasional hiring support

Inventory & Household Management

  • Ensure all homes are fully stocked, organized, and prepared for daily use or guests
  • Proactively manage household supplies, ordering, and restocking
  • Handle packages, returns, and home setup

Vendor & Maintenance Management

  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and home projects
  • Source vendors, obtain quotes, schedule services, and follow up
  • Oversee projects from planning through completion

Project Management

  • Plan and execute organization and home improvement projects (closets, pantry, storage, garage etc.)
  • Source materials (bins, furniture, storage solutions) and oversee implementation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with clear timelines and completion

Scheduling, Budget & Admin

  • Manage calendars, appointments, and service schedules
  • Track household expenses and assist with budget oversight
  • Provide weekly updates on priorities, progress, and completed tasks

Errands & Travel Support

  • Handle occasional errands and household-related tasks
  • Coordinate travel logistics, including itineraries, accommodations, and preparation

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience as a Household Manager or similar role
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate needs
  • Experience managing vendors, schedules, and multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, discretion, and follow-through

Preferred

  • Experience managing multiple properties
  • Familiarity with budgeting and task management tools
  • Systems-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and improvement

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule with a mix of in-person (3–4 days/week) and light remote work
  • Availability and flexibility to be present for vendors, deliveries, and project work as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
