Housekeeper

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean and service assigned rooms and/or areas according to established standards (5 Ways of Clean) and procedures to include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc.

· Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards

· Replenish amenities according to operational standards

· Perform rotation cleaning duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper

· Wear safety protection equipment as provided to keep in line with department regulations and any local legislative requirements

· Greet and acknowledge guests

· Notify supervisor when service is complete so that rooms may be sold or occupied

· Notify supervisor if guest room is unable to be serviced

· Document and report to supervisor if a guest room is in need of repair or damage has been done

· Keep housekeeping cart properly stacked with supplies such as cleaning agents and cloths

· Transport dirty laundry to the washing area in a timely manner

· Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor

· Respond to guest complaints, special requests and take action to ensure guest satisfaction

· Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping

· Report, turn in and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures

· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

· May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects

· May assist with other duties as assigned

Management Contributions for Success:

· Providing training on the 5 Ways of Clean

· Provide feedback after a room inspection

· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Basic reading, writing and math skills

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull

· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel

· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility

· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling

· Able to work alone as well as being a team member

· Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
