Position Summary

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for ensuring the facility remains clean, sanitary, and organized at all times. This role supports infection prevention efforts and contributes directly to a positive resident experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout resident rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces daily
• Follow all infection prevention and control protocols in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Replenish supplies including soap, paper products, and cleaning materials
• Properly handle, transport, and dispose of waste and soiled materials
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Collaborate with nursing and maintenance teams to ensure resident satisfaction
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is in safe working condition
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred (healthcare setting strongly preferred)
• Ability to work independently and follow structured cleaning schedules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
