Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Shores Nursing and Rehab Center in Port St. Joe, Florida. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors

• Empty and sanitize ash trays, bathrooms, and other areas

• Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Clean and wash windows, mirrors, and walls

• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, and other substances from surfaces using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions

• Discard waste and trash properly and reline trash receptacles

• Maintain documentation, such as cleaning logs, as directed

• Report issues and concerns to supervisors and assist with special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.

Working Conditions:

• Work involves exposure to chemicals and cleaning solutions
