We're looking for a caring, dependable Housekeeper to join our team at Episcopal Homes, where we work together to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. As a Housekeeper, you'll help make our nursing home feel like home-keeping everything tidy, sanitized, and comfortable for the people who live and work here.

Wage/Expected Hours of Work:

  • $19.00-$21.00/hr.
  • Full time (40 hours/week) 1.0 FTE
  • Monday-Friday & every other weekend 6:30am-2:30pm

What You'll Do:

  • Keep resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas clean and inviting
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility
  • Take out trash and recycling and restock supplies like toilet paper and soap
  • Follow cleaning checklists and daily schedules to stay on track
  • Use cleaning products safely and follow our health and safety guidelines
  • Help prevent the spread of illness by sticking to infection control procedures
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns you notice during your shift
  • Treat residents with kindness and respect while working in their spaces
  • Work closely with a friendly team and support one another each day

What We're Looking For:

  • A positive attitude and a heart for helping others
  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is helpful, especially in healthcare settings-but we're happy to train the right person
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and with a team
  • Good attention to detail and a sense of pride in your work
  • Comfortable being on your feet, bending, and lifting during your shift
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial work
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, and infection control practices
  • Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying environmental conditions

Working Conditions:

  • Long-term care facility environment with regular interaction with residents, families, and staff
  • Fast-paced setting requiring adaptability and attention to detail
  • Scheduled shifts may include weekends and holidays as needed
