Housekeeper for young man w/Autism - Mornings M-F, 9am-1pm

Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Housekeeper to support our 23-year old son with autism who lives in his own home (with support) in Encinitas. You will work Monday-Friday, and clean his home, tidy his backyard, do stain removal & laundry, shop for food and do food prep daily.

Prefer availability to work 2 hours on Sunday as well.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation & use your own car to shop for groceries & cleaning supplies nearby. (mileage reimbursement)
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills for running a clean, safe & clutter-free home.
• Prefer experience working in an environment with an adult or teen with autism.
• Must speak and read English with ease.
• Must be able to prioritize and stay on task to complete daily routines on time.
• Must be able to live & work in the U.S. legally.
• Must be able to pass State of California background check.

Duties

• Perform all cleaning tasks in his 1000 sq. foot home -- including, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linens & sofa cushion covers, washing windows, and cleaning all surfaces.
• Ensure home is safe for young man: Locked doors, windows, & cleaning supplies stored safely in the garage.
• Ensure specific dietary guidelines are met when preparing packed lunch & breakfast choices.
• Daily Laundry: this will including stain removal and changing linens for someone who has bathroom accidents. Will do 2+ loads of laundry daily.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 per hour
